Root Canal Therapy

The Brooklyn Dental Centre team knows your teeth are important. When the inside of your tooth is infected, inflamed or dead, we may perform root canal therapy to save your tooth.

What is Root Canal Therapy?

Root Canal Therapy is required when the inside of your tooth, also known as the pulp, has become infected, inflamed or dead. In order to save your tooth, your dentist may need to clean up the pulp and remove any bacteria and decay.

The decay and bacteria needs to be cleaned and restored to stop infection from returning.

After a root canal, all teeth should have a crown placed on top of them. A crown is tooth-coloured material that will protect your tooth from breaking, and allowing it to restore its full function.

The dentists at Brooklyn Dental Centre perform root canal therapy and apply crowns once the procedure is complete. Our team will provide you with instructions on caring for your teeth after the root canal.
